(Imām Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr, 1979 , S. 150.) „Imām Mālik verpönte es, aus der Angst heraus, die Menschen könnten in diesem Zusammenhang den Modalitäten des Anthropomorphismus verfallen" (Ibid) Imām Ibn Ruschd erwähnte in seinem al- Bayān wa-Taḥṣīl ebenfalls die Überlieferung von Imām Mālik in al-ʿUtbiyya in der er die Überlieferung der mehrdeutigen Texten verpönt: „Imām Mālik verpönte es, dass man die Überlieferung solcher Aḥādīth weiter verbreitet und propagiert, aus Angst davor, dass die Unwissenden, jene die die Erklärung dieser Texte nicht verstehen, diese Aḥādīth hören könnten und dann dem Anthropomorphismus verfallen. (Imām Ibn Ruschd, 1988, S. 16/402.) Imam ath-Thirmidi schreibt dazu in seinem Buch "as-Sunan" : „Gelehrte wie Sufyan ath-Thawri, Malik b. Anas, Ibn al-Mubarak und Ibn 'Uyayna, Waki' haben diese Ahadith (jene mit mehrdeutigen Begriffen) überliefert. Dabei sagten sie, das man soll daran glauben soll, ohne nach dem „Wie" zu fragen. Man glaubt so daran, wie es überliefert wurde, ohne Erklärung und Vorstellung. Man fragt nicht nach dem "Wie". Das ist die gewählte Methode der Gelehrten." (Imām at-Tirmidhī, 1998, S. 4/273.) Imāmadh-Dhahabī sagte: „Die authentische Überlieferung von Imām Mālik ist die Überlieferung von al- Walīd b. Muslim. Er sagte, dass er Imām Mālik nach den Aḥādīth der [mehrdeutigen] Attribute fragte, worauf der Imām antwortete: „Lass sie wie sie sind, ohne sie zu erklären." (Imām adh-Dhahabī, 1993, S. 8/105.) "Ohne sie zu erklären"! Klarer kann es nicht gesagt werden! Das ist die Methode von Imām Mālik. Nicht die der Wahhabis, die die mehrdeutigen Begriffe wortwörtlich erklären wollen. Wenn man sagt, Yad bedeutet wortwörtlich Hand, dann ist es bereits eine Art Erklärung. Es ist schon eine Erklärung wenn man Yad überhaupt übersetzt! Wir Ahlu Sunna, verstehen die Texte und Überlieferungen auf dem Weg des Tafwīḍ (Die Bedeutung Allah ta'ala überlassen) allgemein und picken uns nicht bestimmte mehrdeutige Begriffe heraus, um sie dann Allah wortwörtlich zuzuschreiben.
