Das Ständige Komitee antwortete: Den Bart zu rasieren ist haram (verboten), aufgrund der sahih-Ahadith, die das klar aussagen und aufgrund der allgemeinen Anwendung der (religiösen) Texte (Qur'an, Sunna usw.), die es verbieten den Kuffar zu gleichen. Eine dieser Überlieferungen ist der Hadith von ibn 'Umar, der sagte, dass der Gesandte Allahs (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) sagte: "Unterscheidet euch von den Muschrikun: Lasst eure Bärte wachsen und kürzt eure Schnurrbärte." (Muslim Nr. 602) Gemäß einer anderen Überlieferung: "Kürzt eure Schnurrbärte und lässt eure Bärte wachsen." (Bukhari Nr. 5443; Muslim Nr. 600) Es gibt andere Ahadith, die die gleiche Bedeutung haben, welche ist, dass man den Bart lässt wie er ist und ihn lang wachsen lässt, ohne irgendeinen Teil davon zu rasieren, auszuzupfen oder zu kürzen.
