    *۞* هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ إِلَيْهَا ۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِۦ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ ءَاتَيْتَنَا صَٰلِحًا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ

    Huwa allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wajaAAala minha zawjaha liyaskuna ilayha falamma taghashshaha hamalat hamlan khafeefan famarrat bihi falamma athqalat daAAawa Allaha rabbahuma lain ataytana salihan lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena

    Er ist es, Der euch aus einem einzigen Wesen schuf, und Er hat aus ihm seine Gattin gemacht, damit er (der Mann) bei ihr Ruhe finde. Und als er über sie kam', trug sie an einer leichten Schwangerschaft und verbrachte damit (eine Zeit). Als sie dann schwer zu tragen hatte, riefen die beiden Allah, ihren Herrn, an: "Wenn Du uns einen Rechtschaffenen gibst, werden wir ganz gewiß zu den Dankbaren gehören."
