    Anas (RadīAllāhu 'anhu) erzählte:
    Nach dem Tod des Gesandten Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) sagte Abū Bakr zu 'Umar (RadīAllāhu 'anhuma):

    "Lass uns Umm Aiman* (RadīAllāhu 'anha) besuchen, wie es der Gesandte Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) zu tun pflegte."
    Als sie zu ihr kamen, fing sie an zu weinen.
    Sie fragten sie: "Warum weinst du?
    Weißt du denn nicht, dass das, was Allāhs für den Gesandten Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) hat besser ist (als was er in dieser Welt hatte)?"
    Sie sagte: "Darum weine ich nicht.
    Ich weiß wohl, dass das, was Allāh, der Erhabene für den Gesandten Allāhs (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) hat besser ist (als was er in dieser Welt hatte).
    Ich vergieße Tränen, weil die himmlische Offenbarung jetzt aufgehört hat."
    Das berührte die beiden so sehr, dass sie auch begannen, mit ihr zu weinen.

    [Riyād as-Sālihīn Nr. 360/Muslim]

    *Umm Aiman (RadīAllāhu 'anha) war eine Sklavin und Pflegemutter des Propheten (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam).
    Später hatte er sie befreit und mit Zaid ibn Hāritha (RadīAllāhu 'anhu) verheiratet.
    Der Prophet (SallAllāhu 'alayhi wa Sallam) achtete sie immer sehr, besuchte sie oft und pflegte zu sagen, sie sei seine Mutter.
