    Die Führer des Volkes versuchten nun, die Gottesfürchtigen von ihrem Weg abzubringen. Sie sprachen zu ihnen: „Wenn ihr Shuaib nachfolgt, habt ihr nur Nachteile davon. Ihr werdet verachtet und verfolgt, und wenn ihr nicht Geld erwerbt, wo immer ihr könnt, und ehrliche, selbstlose Menschen sein wollt, werdet ihr sicher arm, oder jedenfalls nicht so reich wie wir."
    Shuaib erwiderte: „Jetzt seid ihr scheinbar reich, weil ihr glaubt, viel Geld zu haben. Aber unrecht erworbenes Gut kann auf die Dauer kein Glück bringen. Euer Reichtum kann euer Leben nicht verlängern und euch nicht von der gerechten Strafe freikaufen. Seid zufrieden mit dem, was Allah euch zugedacht hat, und beherrscht eure Gier. Wolltet ihr doch nur die Warnung annehmen! Aber ich kann nicht mehr tun als euch ermahnen. Ich bin nicht als Wächter über euch eingesetzt. Ich bin nichts als ein Gesandter von meinem Herrn und verlange nur, dass ihr euch Ihm zuwendet."
    Sie erwiderten: „Willst du uns vorschreiben, dass wir zu deinem Gott beten, statt unseren Traditionen zu folgen, und uns verbieten, mit unserem Eigentum zu machen, was wir wollen? Du bist wohl so ein Moralprediger, der langweilige Reden hält."
    Shuaib erwiderte: „Seht doch, dass ich einen klaren Beweis von Eurem Herrn bringe. Hat Er mir nicht meinen Unterhalt gegeben? Ich will darum nicht so wie ihr Verbotenes tun und an mich reißen, was mir nicht gehört. Ich will nur das Beste für euch und vertraue allein auf Allah. Seid nicht eigensinnig und trotzig, nur weil ich euch ermahne, sondern wendet euch Allah zu, damit ihr nicht ein ähnliches Schicksal erleidet wie die Völker vor euch. Bittet um Vergebung und kehrt zu Allah zurück, denn Er ist der Vergebende und Barmherzige."
    Einige sprachen: „Das meiste von dem, was du sagst, verstehen wir nicht. Wir sehen nur, dass du keine Macht hast. Nur deiner Familie zuliebe haben wir dich nicht gesteinigt, denn du versuchst, uns Vorschriften zu machen, ohne dass du dazu berechtigt bist." Shuaib antwortete: „Nehmt ihr mehr Rücksicht auf meine Familie
    als auf Allah? Denn Ihn missachtet ihr, obwohl Ihm die eigentliche Macht gehört. Er hat euch von allen Seiten eingekreist. Tut, was der Wahrheit entspricht. Seht euch vor, und ich will mich vor- sehen." Sie aber erwiderten: „Du bist ein gewöhnlicher Sterblicher wie wir, und wir sind davon überzeugt, dass du lügst, um dich wichtig zu machen. Lass doch den Himmel auf uns herunterfallen, wenn du die Wahrheit sagst." Damit wandten sie sich ab und überlegten, ob sie den Gesandten Allahs nicht doch töten oder wenigstens aus dem Land vertreiben sollten, so waren ihre Herzen von der Gier nach Reichtum besessen. Ja, die Leute von Madyan unterschieden sich dabei nicht von anderen Völkern, die Allahs Gesandte verhöhnten und sie sogar töten wollten.
    Sie waren noch dabei, heimlich in der Nacht zu beratschlagen, wie sie Shuaib loswerden könnten, da gab Allah Seinem Gesandten den Befehl, mit den Gottesfürchtigen das Land zu verlassen. Noch in der gleichen Nacht machten sie sich auf den Weg. Kaum waren sie fortgezogen, da brach in Madyan ein gewaltiges Erdbeben los. Alle die hochmütigen Männer, deren Lebensweise aus Raub und Be- trügerei bestanden hatte und die sogar Allahs

    IrakLIEBE KRITIKER, LIEBE BOMBENFREUNDE,immer wenn ich mich öffentlich gegen Militärschläge einsetze, ertönt aus bequemen westlichen Schreibtischsesseln lautes, hasserfülltes Geschrei. Seit Jahren.Im Falle des 'Islamischen Staats' (IS), der gefährlichsten Terrorbewegung der Neuzeit, bin ich aus vier Gründen gegen Bomben:1. Weil es klügere Lösungen gibt. Zum Beispiel eine militärische Intervention des gemäßigten 'Irakischen Widerstandes' gegen die radikale IS. Der gemäßigte 'Irakische Widerstand' hat mit 50.000 Mann 10 mal mehr Kämpfer als IS.Über diese Idee wird seit Wochen verhandelt - leider sehr gemächlich. Der gemäßigte, überwiegend sunnitische 'Irakische Widerstand' fordert seit Jahren eine gleichberechtigte Teilnahme am 'Politischen Prozess' im Irak. Zu Recht! Seine Herauslösung aus der fatalen de-facto-Koalition mit IS würde den Vormarsch von IS sehr schnell stoppen.2.Weil die berühmten Peschmergas mit ihren 100.000 Kämpfern und die reguläre irakische Armee mit ihren 500.000 Mann verdammt noch mal in der Lage sein sollten, die maximal 5.000 IS-Kämpfer selbst zu stoppen.Alles andere ist absurd und peinlich. (In Syrien und im Irak zusammen liegt die Zahl der IS-Kämpfer nach deren eigenen Angaben gerade einmal bei 12-15.000.)3. Weil die Bomben amerikanisch sind. Wie tief muss man eigentlich sinken, um im Irak ausgerechnet die Amerikaner um Rettung zu bitten? Die haben doch den ganzen Schlamassel angerichtet. Sie lachen sich halb tot, dass sie im Irak, den sie tausendfach vergewaltigt und gedemütigt haben, jetzt um weitere Bomben und Raketen gebeten werden. Das kann doch alles nicht wahr sein.4. Weil auch diese Bomben Unschuldige töten werden.Liebe Kritiker und Bombenfans, Ihr könnt ruhig weiter auf mich schimpfen. Schon Gandhi wurde oft verhöhnt. Er spottete zurück: "Erst ignorieren sie dich, dann lachen sie über dich, dann bekämpfen sie dich, und dann gewinnst du".Ich bin, wie alle meine Freunde, kein Gandhi. Aber wir werden gewinnen. Die, die den USA in den Hintern kriechen und die Welt mit Bomben heilen wollen, jedoch nie. Gott sei Dank! Euer JT

    The Prophet (PBUH) said: "How wonderful it is for a believer that he always ends up with goodness. If he suffers and remains steadfast, it is rewarding. If good things happen and he thanks Allah, that is also rewarding." (Muslim).

    It is a totally liberating, empowering state of mind that a true believer attains because of his trust in and reliance on the power, authority, help and support of Allah. He feels contentment in serving Allah, with little care for the results that Allah alone decrees for his untiring efforts. This brings tranquility to the heart, courage to the psyche, and an unparalleled resilience to one's nature.

    This is why the believer cannot be scared by threats of loss, pressured into giving up, made to compromise, compelled to give in, bought out of his Islamic mission, or forced into submission by any enemy, tyrant, power, or authority.
