Und doch habt ihr sie immer wieder als Lüge verworfen!' Sie werden sagen: Unser Herr, unser Unglück hat den Sieg über uns davongetragen, und wir waren ein fehlgeleitetes Volk. Unser Herr, führe uns aus all dem heraus, doch sollten wir es von neuem tun, dann wären wir wahrlich ungerecht!' Er wird sagen: 'Hinweg mit euch in diese (Schmach), und (wagt es) nicht, zu Mir zu sprechen!' Und es gab einige von Meinen Dienern, die sagten: 'Unser Herr, wir glauben, darum vergib uns und sei barmherzig mit uns, denn Du bist ja der beste der Erbarmer.' Doch ihr habt nur Spott mit ihnen getrieben, bis ihr darüber vergessen hattet, Meiner zu gedenken, und ihr pflegtet sie zu belachen. Heute aber habe Ich sie dafür belohnt, dass sie so geduldig waren. Sie sind es, die glückselig sein werden.' Er wird sprechen: 'Wie viele Jahre habt ihr auf Erden verweilt?' Da werden sie antworten: 'Wir verweilten (wohl) einen Tag oder den Teil eines Tages. Doch frage jene, die die Zeit gemessen haben!' Er wird sprechen: 'Wahrlich, ihr habt nur ganz kurz verweilt, wenn ihr es nur wüsstet!' Meint ihr etwa, dass Wir euch umsonst erschaffen haben und dass ihr nicht zu Uns zurückgebracht werdet?"
