Wenn man zum Gesandten Allâhs (möge Allah ihn in Ehren halten und ihm Wohlergehen schenken) kam, fand man ihn selbst in harten Zeiten freundlich und mit heiterem Gesichtsausdruck. Ein Beduine kam zum Propheten (möge Allah ihn in Ehren halten und ihm Wohlergehen schenken) und zog so fest an dessen Obergewand, dass es an seiner Schulter Spuren hinterließ. Dann sagte er ihm in unhöflichem Ton: „O Muhammad, befiehl, dass mir etwas von dem Geld Allâhs, das bei dir ist, zukommt!" Der Prophet (möge Allah ihn in Ehren halten und ihm Wohlergehen schenken) reagierte auf dieses unhöfliche und schamlose Verhalten mit einem freundlichen Lächeln und mit Großzügigkeit und ordnete daraufhin an, ihm etwas zu geben. Dieses freundliche Lächeln, mit dem der Muslim seinen Brüdern begegnet, sät in deren Herzen Liebe und Zuneigung und weckt in ihnen den Wunsch nach einer Begegnung mit ihm und seiner Gesellschaft. Wir können ohne Zweifel nicht alle Menschen mit unserem Vermögen beglücken. Aber wir können sie mit einem heiteren Gesicht, einem freundlichen Lächeln und einem guten Charakter erfreuen. Das freundliche Lächeln und das heitere Gesicht sind noch wichtiger, wenn die Menschen ein Anliegen haben, das sie erfüllt haben möchten. Der Gesandte Allâhs (möge Allah ihn in Ehren halten und ihm Wohlergehen schenken) erfüllte die Anliegen der Muslime unermüdlich mit einem freundlichen Lächeln und mit Großzügigkeit. Zeige also ein freundliches Gesicht, sei unkompliziert und sanftmütig, lächle und sei nicht grimmig!
