    Umar ibn al-Khattab (radiAllahu 'anh) sagte dem Propheten Muhammad (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam):

    „Ich liebe dich mehr als alles andere, mit Ausnahme meiner Seele, die zwischen meinen beiden Seiten ist." Der Prophet antwortete ihm, „Keiner von euch hat Iman, bis ich ihm nicht lieber bin, als seine eigene Seele."
    'Umar erwiderte darauf, "Bei demjenigen, der das Buch auf dich herabsandte, ich liebe dich mehr, als meine Seele, die zwischen meinen beiden Seiten ist." Der Prophet sagte abschließend: „'Umar, jetzt hast du es!" (al-Bukhari)

    Wenn du RasulAllah (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) liebst, dann folgst du seiner Sunnah. Du versuchst in seine Fußstapfen zu treten. Es gilt den Propheten (sallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) in jeder Hinsicht zu folgen. Was machen Verliebte, wenn sie 'verliebt' sind, außer blind durch die Gegend zu gehen ? Sie tun das, was dem zufrieden stellt, den sie lieben oder mögen, dass nur um seine Aufmerksamkeit zu kriegen. Liebe ist kein Lippenbekenntnis, dass wissen die Geschwister die Liebe selbst empfunden haben. Keine Frau oder Mann wird sich damit zufrieden geben, wenn der eigene Partner einem sagt: „Ich liebe dich" aber es nie zeigt. Wie zeigt sich Liebe ? Nicht etwa so, dass man sein Partner zufrieden stellt ? Ihm gegenüber treu und loyal ist? Ihn glücklich macht ? An seiner Seite ist, ihn unterstützt und so weiter und so fort.

    So und deutlich stärker und viel intensiver muss die Liebe zu RasulAllah ('alayhi salatu wa sallam) sein. Wir Muslime lieben ihn mehr als unsere Eltern, Geschwister, Freunde, Ehefrauen, Ehemänner, Besitz und was es nicht alles gibt, vor allem aber, lieben wir ihn mehr als wir uns selbst lieben. Das heißt, wir ziehen den Weg der Sunnah vor. Selbst dann, wenn unsere eigenen Interessen auf der Strecke bleiben.

    Liebe muss sich in Wort und Tat widerspiegeln.
