    Assad und sonst niemand. Assad ist niemand. Er ist ein nebelhaftes Wesen, das in Blut und auf Leichen schwimmt und behauptet, Präsident einer Republik zu sein, die es nicht mehr gibt.

    Ewigkeit, das weiß man, ist das Ziel aller Machtbesessenen und die Schwäche aller Despoten. Wahn brachte schon Kaiser Caligula dazu, zu verkünden, er trachte nach dem Mond – zumindest in einem Theaterstück von Albert Camus –, und in einem Bühnenstück von Eugène Ionesco ist der letzte Wunsch des Königs auf dem Sterbebett die Unsterblichkeit. Aber die despotische Fantasie von Präsident Assad Senior übertraf die aller seiner Vorgänger: Irgendwann las man auf den Jubeltransparenten nicht mehr nur "Assad auf ewig", sondern er wurde mit "Präsidenten auf ewig und die Zeit danach" tituliert. Was nach der Ewigkeit kommt, hatte ich mir nie vorstellen können. Erst seitdem ich sehe, wie Baschar al-Assad die Ewigkeit seines Vaters praktiziert, indem er Syrien niederbrennen und zerstören lässt, und indem er sich jetzt, im Anschluss an die Ewigkeit, erneut zur Wahl gestellt hat, um nun weiter über die Ruinen zu regieren, verstehe ich, was damit gemeint gewesen sein könnte.     الاقتتال الذي يحصل بين المجاهدين، إضافةً إلى سوء الأوضاع المادّية وشدّة انهمار براميل الموت وصواريخ النظام على رؤوس العزّل، شكّل عامل ضغطٍ كبيرٍ على الناس في المناطق المحرّرة، دفع بعضهم إلى التفكير بقبول أيّ حلٍّ ينهي هذه المأساة الحاصلة.

    How To complete the QURAN in Ramadhan:
    • The Quran has ~600 pages approx.
    • If you divide it by 30 days, that's 20 pages a day.
    You're thinking that's difficult to do right?
    But, if you divide it by 5 prayers a day, it gets easier:
    If you read 4 pages after every salah in Ramadhan, then you've completed the Quran.
    If you want to complete the Quran twice, you read 4 pages before and after every salah.
    Imagine, if you forward this message, if just one person benefits and complete the Quran. And it gets even better, because you would get the reward for them finding it easier to complete, Insha'Allah.
