    Ibn al-Qayyîm (rahimahullâh) rapporte qu'il a entendu son Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah dire :

    « Si tu ne trouves pas, dans l'application de ton œuvre pieuse, une douceur dans ton cœur et une augmentation, alors tu dois la réévaluer. Car certes le Seigneur (Allâh) est reconnaissant. » Ibn al-Qayyîm explique – de cette parole énoncée – qu'il voulait dire que la personne est nécessairement récompensée par Allâh pour l'œuvre pieuse qu'elle a fait dans ce bas monde, récompense qu'elle éprouve par une douceur dans son cœur, une augmentation et une joie. Si la personne ne la trouve pas, c'est que son œuvre est défectueuse [1].
